Buying a home can be an overwhelming process. Between obtaining financing, locating a property you love, structuring a compelling offer, having it ratified, reviewing inspection reports, releasing contingencies and, finally, closing, there are a lot of moving pieces that can leave homebuyers feeling bewildered.  Isabelle will guide you through each step of the buying process, offering sound advice along the way.

M O R T G A G E  P R E – A P P R O V A L
If you have not yet begun the financial process, Isabelle will refer you to a few excellent mortgage brokers for loan pre-approval.  By providing your lender with some basic financial information (i.e., your income, savings, and debt), he/she will determine your financing options, the amount of your monthly mortgage payment, and what you can expect to pay for your down payment and closing costs (roughly 2-5% of the purchase price).

C H O O S I N G  A  H O M E
For most buyers, choosing a home is an emotional process. Isabelle will offer objective information about each property you view and keep you focused on your needs and wants throughout your search.  Drawing upon her past experience in Interior Design & Architecture, she is able to see the potential in a house that may not be readily apparent.

M A K I N G  A N  O F F E R
Once you’ve found the home you want to purchase, Isabelle will do a comparative market analysis of recently sold, similar homes in the area to determine it’s true value.  She will analyze the physical and economic features of comparable properties to enable you to structure an informed, realistic and smart offer.  With your input, she will write and submit your strongest and best offer.  Isabelle will negotiate on your behalf with the Sellers and their Agent, and keep you informed every step of the way to ensure you obtain the best possible outcome for your new home purchase.

Closing, or settlement, is an exciting day for homebuyers as property ownership is transferred and the deal is officially sealed.  Pre-closing, Isabelle will do a final walk-through of the property to ensure the agreed-upon repairs have been made and the property is in the order you expected.  Isabelle will stay in communication with the title company and the listing agent during escrow to ensure the closing goes as smoothly as possible with the least amount of hassle to you.
